2nd hard drive packard bell ixtreme help! please!

    hi, i have a packard bell ixtreme 9100 i pc and want to fit a 2nd hard drive. the problem is that im not sure what ones are compatible with it. i opened up my comp the other day and the hard drive in their at the moment is a maxtor diamondmax vl 30.7gb hard drive.
    any help much appreciated on how to find out and/or if anyone has the sam PC.. or even any help at all. :)

    You can buy any 3.5" IDE hard drives. It does not need to be the same one.

    but how would i connect it if they use diff cables or does this my old hard drive use an IDE?

    Just don't buy a SATA hard drive. The IDE cable on your current hard drive should have a secondary connector (slave). Use that to connect your new hard drive to it. Just make sure you select slave on your new hard drive.
