Can someone tell me how people are getting the 300mb video files from feature length videos? I can't tell the difference in the quality visually and the file size is stellar. The best I can do is get a ~4gb file down to ~600-800mb.

Any pointers to the right solution would be awesome.

There is a beta version of DVD Converter that will allow you to put a custom output size, you can see if that will do it.

The beta version can be found here:

300MB seems awefully small to me. You might need to change some quality settings too if this doesn't work. In the advanced settings you can change the video quality to use "normal quality - fast linear". You can also create a custom profile and try to use more compression friendly settings.
