360 update offline

    my friend has a 360 but not live and he wants to watch some movies that are on a dvd in ipod format and he cant get the update. is there a way to get it and burn it like the old games update?

    Yup, you can go to Xbox.com, and can get the update that you can burn on a disc, and just insert that into the 360!

    Also, you don't have to have Xbox Live to get the Updates! The system just needs to be connected to an Ethernet Line!

    well, unless he doesn't have an internet connection he should be able to update. Everyone who buys a 360 get a free Xbox Live Silver membership, which can be used to update online, you just can't play games online with a silver membership.

    i know you can do that for the old games but i need one for media suck as mp4 movies and music on the ipod...i know you can do it but he cant cuz he doesnt have ethernet at his house... any ideas?
