    Hi all,
Been thinking about getting a 4K but don't know what content is available. I don't see any 4K channels offered by cable or satellite, and don't even see a movie player or blu-ray with native 4K resolution. I havn't looked hard but wonder what content is available now for this res of tv? Other than upconverting, what is the potential?
    Thanks, Matt

4k isnt very common or widely available yet, i did see an article the other day about the first 4k blu ray player (think it was made by LG) within the next 5 or so years 4 k will become standard just as hd has become standard (at least thats what the companies are hoping for).for now there doesn't seem to be a great need for 4k and its overpriced but given time prices should lower and it should become mainstream.
