Hi hope someone can help me please.

I backed up a disc, I then attempted to play the backup DVD and got an error code: 8004027A, DVD-Video playback graph building failed.. Also no disc in D drive. I know the disc burnt ok, as I tried it on my laptop, and it works fine, and in my DVD player on my tv.

Can anyone throw some light on this problem for me.

    Thanks

Uninstall the drive using Device Manager and then let WinXP reinstall it upon restarting. This error can sometimes pop up when your drivers or especially the ASPI layer is screwed up.

Also uninstall and then reinstall PowerDVD. It may be corrupted.

    Hi Ireland.
I uninstalled and reloaded the driver and still the same.

My disc drive can read and will play anything pre my problem. Any discs I have burnt after the problem arose, the disc drive cant see. Any guesses on this one please.
