A Dumb question

    Can a Gamecube play a Wii game? If not, why not or whats the difference?

    no. Older technology. Thats like asking why my windows 3.11 for workgroups pc won't play my new world of warcraft game.

    Okay. I thought since a Wii will play GC games, why wouldn't a GC play Wii games.

    why won't the wii play games for the next Nintendo console that hasn't been invented yet? It's called backwards compatibility. You can design a product to work with older technology but you can't design a product to work with future more superior technology that doesn't exist! The Gamecube was out before the wii!

    its not the size it's the technology (processer, chipset, video card, etc) I play full size dvd's in my gc
