I need some opinions on two types of blank media.
Verbatim 8X and Linkyo 8X. One of the outlets is doing what looks like a good sale involving these two brands and I'm not familiar with Linkyo. I understand that Verbatim is good media.
    Feedback would be appreciated.

    Hi there,

    http://www.videohelp.com/dvdmedia
is a good place to check out media.

When I get new media, I will be sure to get Taiyo Yuden.
I live in Canada and there's 2 places I know that sells them.

If you get Maxell, or Verbatim etc.. make sure it says made in JAPAN on it, if it's made somewhere else, good chance they will be poor media.

Wow, the "Linkyo DVD-R 8x" are TYG02 (Taiyo Yuden), nice !
The "Linkyo DVD+R 8x" media code are OPTODISCOR8, so I would stick with the "Linkyo DVD-R 8x"

"Verbatim (DataLifePlus) / Pastel Disc DVD-R 8x" are also TYG02.

So I guess Verbatim has a few flavor of their media, so stick with the DataLifePlus.

    My 2 cents...
