A QUESTION HELP ME PLS

    I HAVE A BLANK SMARTBUY DISC DVD-R THAT TAKES ABOUT 40SECS TO COME OUT THE MENU WHAT TO DO

    AND I HAVE MAXELL DVD -R THAT TAKES ABOUT 14SECS TO LOAD.


    CAN I ASK WHY???

    It is possible that your drive immediately recognizes the identification code from the Maxell disc that tells the drive what type of disc it is, what laser power to apply, how much capacity it has, and so forth. The identification code for the Smartbuy disc may not be in the drive's memory table, so it has to investigate the disc's information itself and prepare to apply a default write strategy to it. Some drives actually record a small section of the disc, read the results, and reapply power settings in a method of self-calibration. That could account for the differences in time.

    As long as both discs work to your satisfaction, there is no problem.
