    Hi all

A bit ne to building my own pc, but I have given it a good go.

I am using a Abit AVA with an Athlon 3000+ 62 and an Abit AGP - when I plug the Monitor (from my HP Pavilion) in to the graphics card - I get no bios and no signal.

Is there a port on the motherboard I can use for the monitor?

does motherboard have video connector on backside of case? check that the cmos jumper is in normal & not clear mode according to manual. does the cpu fan spin? remove all cards & ram except for videocard & 1 stick of ram. remove all data cables from motherboard & reseat the powercable to motherboard

Unfortunately the motherboard does not have on board graphics.

Any other ideas on how I can test the board?
