? about DVD X-Copy Platinum

I was hoping someone can help me out. I have DVD X-Copy Platinum version 4.0.3.8. My DVD Burner is a Sony DVD+-RW DW-D56A. My question is:

When I attempt to back-up a DVD(have tried Shrek 2, The Day After Tomorrow and Collateral) it reads it fine, then it asks for a blank CD, I put it in and it reads it and begins the time elapsed and then after 30 or so seconds of writing it says finalizaing and then does this process for awhile, then fails to complete the task, but ruins the blank disk.

Now I've downloaded all updates and such from Microsoft, but I'm still having the same problem. I hope someone can help me. Thank you.

 

I had this same problem about 1 week ago with the same program and was forced to switch to a new program and new dvd burner. I figured it was the burners problem so I bought a new one, when it turns out that it was the programs problem. Try downloading and using clonedvd2 with anydvd. They work pretty good for me.
