   I have installed the AC3 codec, however when I am playing DIVX or XVID movies the AC3 track I can only hear a high frequency noice. I have external decoder so I do need ot use SPDIF output to hear 5.1 sound. On the other hand, when in "Main" inserv I switch to 2 channel output, I can hear stereo sound, but no 5.1 Can somebody help me, please. Many thanks.

   Was it the DivX Ac3 Codec??????
   
   Also dont forget the ac3 filter which is needed to play ac3 sound in some programs!!!
