Adobe Photoshop - tutorials for a beginner ?

    Can anyone suggest a good tutorial for a beginner like me to begin learn the ropes of Photoshop. Also can someone recommend any users sites or forums for photo editing?

    I'd head over to DeviantArt ...they have a good amount of tutorials. You can also sign up there and post your art there for free and other people can comment it and stuff. I'd really recommend checking it out.

    There are probably some good photoshop books out there also.

    Deke Mcclelland (SP?) writes an excellent Photoshop Bible, great for the novice or expert alike, I've bought 3 of them in the series.
