    Hi,
I went to get purchase a new computer this afternoon for the sole purpose of backing up my PS2 games as i am sick of paying hundreds to replace them when they are mis-handled! There were two sorts of dvd writers involved.. dvd-rw and dvd+rw. Now i have read somewhere that using a modchip such as messiah2 that they only boot dvd-r not dvd+r.. Is this true??? The people at the store were trying to convince me to purchase the dvd+rw as aparentley this is soon to become universal but i thought i might check with the experts (such as yourselves) first ! what is the best way to go?? bearing in mind i only really want to use it for PS2 backups.. thanks in advance

what version ps2 do you have, the v5 v6 and v7 play dvd-r and dvd+r. i think most dvd+r writers and blank disc are i little bit more then the dvd-r, but dvd+r are of better quality.

i suggest that you get a pc without a dvd burner and purchase one seperately that's capable of both +/- dvdr's that way its a can't miss sony and pioneer both make excellent models._X_X_X_X_X_[small]think before you speak don't speak before you think[/small]
