A link to the specific media you bought at the site you bought them from.

Now we know it's a Lite-On but what model is it?

    Hi. :)

tanya, at what speed was the disc burned?
If 4x or above, you might want to try and lower it to 2x.

Well, if you still have some of these DVDs left and want to use them, try at a lower speed.
If not, buy better media and you should be able to stick to 4x. ;)

what media would you suggest?? i will try at 2x after not now because i am on the internet. i only have 5 of those discs left anyway so it dont really matter but i will give it a shot and see if it works if it does i will stick to them if not i will change. they are pretty cheap to they only cost $45 for 50 at the market so they are good...do you know anything about DVDINFOpro??? someone on this forum said that you can check if your disc has any errors on it

You could try grade "A" Ritek or Verbatim branded discs.
You'd probably be better off buying them online though.

    Hey Tanya1987,
Fellow Aussie here. Look for Shintaro 4x disks, I've been through quite a few of those and only made one coaster. You can get them for about AU$1 per disk. These should burn at 4x with no probs. I've heard bad things about the 2x. Haven't tried the 8x.
The problem with cheaper disks is that they may not burn properly at higher speeds (hence previous comments to burn at 2x) and they may not work in your stand alone DVD player.
    Adder.

    Yeah I'm in Vic, Ringwood.
HiFi Supermarket have 50 packs for $49.
I know you can get cheaper, but I've found these the best in terms of "cheaper" but with quality.

    I have a Pioneer.
Yes it does depend on your burner somewhat, but if the disks are better quality, then they will work better in all burners.
You bought the wrong ones? What did you buy?
The LiteOns have lots of firmware upgrades. These tend to fix a lot of compatibility problems, so if you are feeling adventurous upgrade the firmware. :)

i think cyclic redundancy check usually means a dirty or scratched disc, you could try clenaing the disc
