well i just bought a nvidia geforce 6600 thats AGP 8x, the problem is, when i put it in and everything i didn't have a 4 pin connector to supply it with energy, but it evantually worked. when i always put my computer in standby and come right off the standby it tells me "blah blah geforce doesn't have sufficient volts blah blah and will now lower resolutions"
is this bad? o_O do i need to by another 4pin wire or something?
and plus my computer is now louder then what it use to be.
    PLEASE HELP!

what does the videocard manual says it wants for power supply wattage & what is the wattage of your psu? get that 4pin adapter to properly power that card. the probible reason of the increased noise is from the psu which means it is maxed out & could die any time soon if left at that condition.

If you dont have a 4pin cinnector then your pSU dosent look too good and looks a bit on the Cheap side which means low wattage ive seen pc's Micro ATX PSU with 4pin connectores and they were only 145W
