ALL GAMES PLAY ON PS2 EXCEPT GOD OF WAR

    I didnt know if anyone here can help. Im not real smart on these things! My son bought God OF War 2 yesterday and his ps2 (slim one) says it cant read the disk. all of his other games work (except now God of War - the 1st one. now that wont work after he tried to play the new game. any ideas or help would be great, thanks

    I think it could be 3 things:
    .First: see if the disk isn't strached,durty or something
    .Second: there are two forms of games and ps2, pal and NTSC, if the game is PAL the PS2 must be PAl too, and if the game is NTSC the Ps2 must be NTSC too, or in other case it won't work
    .Third: See if the game is original, if it isn't the game will only work with a modeship.

    Thanks. we just bought it at Wal mart. Took it back and they did let us do even exchange and this one wont work either. How do I check if it is a PAL ot NTSC? thanks and sorry I posted on the wrong forum :)
    Im just an old mom and dont know much about this stuff :)

    There should be an information in the Cd or in the panflets.
    In the PS2 is written if it is PAl or NTsc

    I would very much doubt that the wallmart is selling you a PAL version if your not in a PAL region and NTSC version if your in an NTSC region. Never the less shipping mistakes do happen so check that out.

    I'm not an expert, but didnt some people have issues with their PS2s not being able to read DVD9 games? Mind you I thought this issue only occured on users who had older PS2s (which had lasers which were worn out), not the newer models like the slim. But I dont know to much about this
