I’m thinking of purchasing this processor for my pc but first I am unsure if it’s worth upgrading and if it will be compatible. Currently im using a Pentium 4 3.2GHz, 2GB Samsung RAM, radeon 9600 256mb video card, my os is vista home premium and the motherboard is an Elitegroup 661GX/800-M7. Is it compatible with my current components? And will it be worth the upgrade with playing games like silent hunter 4?

    Cheers

You'll definitely have to change your motherboard too as the one you have supports only intel processors.
