Hi all. Just a quick question. I just recently built a new computer and purchased an AMD Athlon XP 2800+ Barton. I'm going to OC it as soon as i test out a few more things to make sure its stable at standard frequency. When i access my BIOS settings for the multiplier, they are adjustable!! I had heard theat these processors were clock locked. Did i get lucky, or was the locking just a rumor?

    Hi wizard479,
You may find that you can adjust the multiplier in the bios but when you change it and boot into windows it doesn't change and your cpu is running at the same speed as before.
Mine is the same, I can change the multiplier to anything I want but it doesn't have any effect.
