    Xbox Network settings:
    type static

    line status 100/full duplex
    ethernet MAC address 00:50:F2:4A:0B:2C
    setup network yes
    use static IP yes
    IP 192.168.0.1
    subnet mask 255.255.255.0
    default gateway 192.168.0.1
    dns 0.0.0.0
    dns 0.0.0.0

    PC network properties:
    IP address 192.168.0.1
    subnet 255.255.255.0
    default gateway . . .

you may also have better luck using an FTP program made to do that like FlashFXP, WS_FTP Pro, or CuteFTP

And it depends on your IP provider as to the above working. Some networks are set up static and others are DHCP.
In an FTP program you use port 21, and the username and password are both "xbox" all lowercase & without the quotes.
Also some PC you need to set up network sharing on your main connection before you can FTP.

Thanks steimy, I've used FlashFXP and it works but takes about 9 hours to transfer 3GB. I just want to see if this would be faster. I'll try to set up network sharing on my main connection and see if that will work.

wow, are you doing this wireless or with a crossover cable.
With wireless it is slower, with a crossover it takes about a half hour, 45 minutes tops, to copy(FTP) a game. that is just normal.

yep, 9 hours with a crossover cable. I was doing more reading and tried dvdtoxbox media copier, then made an xiso and copied to pc using qwix, then burned with dvd decrypter and the whole process took about 20 minutes.

I still need to connect with windows explorer though. I want to delete flashfxp, but I still need away to delete the games that I save to the xbox hard drive.
