I have two seperate mkv files of a movie one with sound and one with video
    however video is longer
and i wanna sync them both together in MKVMERGE ill give details of the files
Iv already done a few but its usually out of sync by about 2 maybe 3 mintues and has never been right

    ac3 track - 1:20:23
    codec - A52 Audio (aka AC3)(a52)
    channels - stereo
    samplerate - 48000Hz
    bitrate - 192kb/s

    video track - 1:22:30
    codec - H264 - MPEG4 AVC (part10)(avc1)
    framrate - 23.976215

The video file is a completely different source from the audio but there exactly the same films but im assuming the video is a different format, region or whatever hence the extra two mintues they are exactly the same noting is different
The Film had a foriegn language so i took the english from a DVD and id like to attach it to this can it be done???

any help? I would be really gratefull

You can stretch the AC3 using the likes of Audacity.
    Effect > Change Tempo
It does it without changing pitch.
You should verify that the required plugins are installed by clicking:Edit > Preferences > Libraries

I tried that but I need mkvmerge to merge the files and I have both tracks at the same length now.

I dropped the framerate of the video to 25.000 and now both tracks are at the same lenth however there still not in proper synce sadly

If the synch is out the same amount at the beginning as well as the end,
perhaps you can adjust the "offset" in the merge program.

If it's in synch at the beginning but get's steadily worse, then the length of
the audio needs to be adjusted still.
