I've been looging for a cheap motherboard for a processor I've been given recently.

    it's
    INTEL P4 for Desktop
    3.0GHZ/2M/800/04A
    630 SL729

    Intel Pentium 4 processor 630 LGA775
    supporting Hyper threading
    3.0GHz
    800Mhz FSB
    2Mb L2 cache

    I have 4x256MB ram sticks (PC3200)
and want to use them on this new PC to give at least 750Mb ram on the new PC (if they don't work at double speed)
and I also have Nvidea 7600 AGP graphics card that I'll be using in this PC
So I nedd AGP 8x, 4 memory slots and a 775 capable motherboard (cheap)
I'm in Ireland and would like to source one locally (England/ Europe)

I've been looking for at the Gigabyte GA-8I865GME-775-RH LGA775 motherboard but it only has 2 Ram slots and the price (though cheapish) is more than I want to budget for unless there are no alternatives.
I also looked at the Gigabyte GA-8I865GMK-775, which has 4 memory slots, but I can't find one locally.

Any help or an alternative motherboard will be appreciated.

    just to mention,
This PC is not actually for myself, but a friend whose son will soon be going to college and they'll need a proper PC for his studying.
I've so far have managed to get all the parts for free.
and all they'll have to pay for is anything I have to buy.

I built a few peoples PC's at cost or less as I think people who can't afford a brand new PC and need it for college etc... should be helped out as much as possible.
This is both a hobby for me (plus it gets me more experience with different PC components and it helps people I know).
I've a Case, Monitor, PSU (hopefully it'll work with the mobo), Ram, Graphics Card, Hard Drive, DVD Drive, keyboard and mouse.

so if you can point the way, it'd be great

asrock do a 775 mobo that has both ddr and ddr2 and both agp and pci-e. so its good for any future upgrades too. only thing is i think it only has 4 dimm slots so it will only take 2 ddr or 2 ddr2 (cant use both at the same time)

pci-e is only x4 aparently, not sure if that will bother you tho.
