I read this article which is about the different methods to record video to your computer. Before I read this article I though all video capture methods were basically the same.

I saw on this website that there were several video capture units. There is a unit DVD Movie Creator but there seems to be several versions. Can you make a recommendation on which one is the best?

Which unit would you recommend if I want to record video from my DV camera, mix in video from my VCR, and record it to a DVD?

A program that does it all is ulead dvd movie factory 2. It is pretty good.

I personally prefer capturing in windvr 3.0 and making and burning a dvd with tmpgenc.

    Hope that helps.

Hi lannigan, Can you advise how to burn DVD with TMPGEnc? I'm presently using Sonic MyDVD to burn Mpeg2 into DVD but just don't like the menu interface for I prefer to play movie immediately.

Hello Gamork, Thank you for your link but it looks like instruction guide for TMPG DVD Author instead of TMPGEnc and can only trial for 30 days. I'm presently having TMPGEnc Plus and would like to know if it can burn DVD? and How?

my mistake, onestop. I wrote tmpgenc but forgot to put dvd author after it. Soryy. Tmpgenc alone will not burn dvd's. You need the tmpgenc dvd author. You can get it from the pegasys website and download a trial. I know for a while there was some keygens floating around on kazaa but I never recommend using those. Pegasys was pretty mad about it. Get my drift?
