Got an answer to my post on CD Freaks, and stated that this is beta release, and emails were only sent to some people. General release I guess is scheduled later, but new version was sent to various forums for people to try. Guess they want to see how many bugs come up.

sorry guys, my bad. I was in a rush and guess I didn't look closely enough, because it was CloneCD that's at 5.2. AnyDVD is only at 5.0. Sorry to burst your bubbles, burst my own too.

That's okay the author has already stated they got to fix the bugs the program has with Nero, before general release. We will probably see 5.2 real soon.

How in the world can After Dawn be offering a new version of AnyDVD before even the software author's website offers it for download. What is the relationship between Slysoft and After Dawn?

Hi arniebear, here's an update for you on Anydvd 5.0. I had some time tonight so I tried a few things. I uninstalled Nero completely, deleted any folders with Ahead or Nero and then ran Reg Supreme in deep mode. I rebooted and installed Anydvd 5.0. Clonedvd 2.8 was already working good. The new install of Anydvd now works. I did a dvd5 movie as a test and it ripped in 8 minutes and burned to a RW 2.4 speed in 16 minutes. Thats quite a bit faster than the older versions. I'll try a DL movie tomorrow evening after work and see how the speed is on that. I also reinstalled Nero and there is no conflict at this time. My quess is possibly some old Nero information in one of the folders I deleted was causing the problem. May have been there from an older version left after an update. I'm just guessing on the exact problem but it must have been something to do with Nero. All is well at this time. Later.

Thanx, Jerry for the update information. Will try your method tonight, I think you are right there has to be some conflict with Nero.
