I hear that most people get a Magic or Messaiah chip. Spelled Messaiah wrong... anyway, I wouldn't go with a chip that isn't well known.

I wouldn't get this chip.. . wacky swap method.

You can boot all backups of your original games,
with Action Replay 2 / Game Shark 2 and swap tricks:
    - no swap for PSX cd-backups.
    - 1 swap for PS2 cd-backups.
    - 1 swap for PS2 dvd-rips.
    - 2 swaps for PS2 dvd-backups.

I'm of the opinion that if your going to get a solder mod you would be as well getting one that doesn't require a swap.

You guys are right, but I think a no solder mod will do, since I don't play a lot of backup games.
