if i have a source file that is [bold]greater than 4 Gigabytes[/b] and is split into two extensions; .mds and .mdf.. how can i convert them into .iso without the burning and reading with DVD decrypter method (and wasting a DVD)? iso converter will not work for files larger than 4GB.

Yes it is, look on the web for a program called: UltraISO, you can use it to convert any disc to an ISO image. I have a whole hard drive full of 'em just waiting to b burned... (waiting for more DVD's)

When you use DVD Decrypter it normally creates an MDS & ISO file, the MDS is what you should burn to a disc. Does it really need to be converted? Try using DVD Decrypter to burn it to the hard drive and see what you get, I have not used Alcohol 120% in quite a while but the other file may just be it's way of saying ISO like the MDS file is DVD Decrypters.

Convert the .mdf as that is the image. The .mds is the cuesheet.
