Out of curiosity I just plugged my iPod into the 360 USB slot and it recognised it and played the music tracks while I played my games.

I was wondering are there any other devices/ gadgets that the 360 can play through USB.

    What would that do?
Does that mean if I have a USB2 external hard drive that has MP3 music on and AVI movies then the 360 will play them? Or not?

I think the hd-dvd add-on uses the usb. Also, the dance pad for DDR and the guitar for GH2 I believe. You also might be able to view pictures off of digital camera, I'll test it out and let you know.

i am almost positive that if you convert your video files to .wma format, i think the 360 will play them. that is the only thing, 360 doesn't recognize divx and all that shit, but it does recognize .wma files.

You can stream your .wma videos from your PC, but you can't play them form an external Hard Drive.

I use a mutli-format card reader with mine. I store stuff on an old CF, an SD and a memstick pro duo, which are all accessed just fine.
