    Hi all,

I have been burning dvds recently with DVD decrypter and have not tried to burn any that consist of two layers.

Are all the latest movies such as 8 mile, american pie 2, lord of the rings, etc... all going to be 2 layered???

Its not a major problem as i am going to try using DVD shrink later on. But im just curious...

    Thanks in advance

Generally speaking, the only movies that are released on DVD-5 are bargain-bin discs. Even movies that were previously released on DVD-5 are usually repackaged on DVD-9, usually with the excuse that they are releasing a "special", "deluxe", or "collector's" edition.

    Just another quick question...

Is there no way in which we can purchase balnk DVD 9 discs and if we could, would the standard DVD burners copy to them?

    Just a thought!

    :D

no. dvd9-/+r are being tested and will be available in the near future but they will probably require new hardware.
