    Are DL Discs dual sided?

Also, where online should I purchase DL Blank DVD Discs? Any suggestions here will be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks...RN

    Hi there,

Dual Layer and Double Sided are 2 different things.

Dual Layer, like it says, the disk as 2 layers.
1 layer with 4.7 Gb and an other 4.7 Gb on the 2nd layer.

Double Sided, like it says, you can write on both sides of the media.

You might see Double Sided Single Layer, and Double Sided Dual Layer.

This is why commercial DVD (Movies) are on Dual Layer disks, cause they usually date around 7-8 Gb of space.

I do not own a Dual Layer Burner yet, but I heard that Dual Layer Media are still very expensive.

    Something like $10.00 Each
Compared to $0,50 for Single Layer 4x DVD-R.

In that case, can I copy the movies onto two separate single layer discs - so that I do not lose quality of the video?

If so, how would I do this using DVD Decrypter?

    Thanks...RN

Let's try a relevant thread title next time, shall we? "c" doesn't quite explain anything. I changed it for you.

I'm in agreement on that one, it was a hasty decision on my part to submit the new thread without checking to see what I put in the subject field.

    Thanks for correcting it.
