Hi, i've been looking at several forums about hard loader, mod chips and i've found several downsides for each method breaking the ps2. For instance,
Mod chip= wears out the ps2 lens
Hard loader= can damage the ps2 system due to overheating

are there any downsides to swap magic? any chance ps2 will break using swap magic?

if u have a fat ps2, it's a pain in the ass to use. if you have a slim, it's not bad, but still a pain in the ass to keep swapping. besides, ps2 online sucks. just get a hard mod (i would reccomend)
