ASUS drives

    Anyone ever used one of these before? Are they any good? I've been reading some reviews on Newegg about them and people seem to be pretty pleased with them.

    Do they make any other products if so then what's the reaction to those and there's your answer

    The only thing i have heard about these drives are that the CD Rom drives they made way back when are crapp and die very quickly. If you want a good DVD Burner go for Pioneer, Plextor, Lite-on or even BenQ. They are good drive that will last and not give you headaches.

    Asus are normally just firmware altered Pioneer drives. The 1608p burner was the pioneer 109.

    If thats the case why wouldn't you just get the pioneer drive.
