I'm currently considering upgrading my system. However I'm on a budget so I can't spend a lot on a high end system. At the moment I'm trying to decide if a Athlon 64 4000+ would be a better choice over a Athlon 64 X2 3800+. Or vice versa. Any input anyone my have would be very helpful.

The Athlon 64 X2 3800 is the better choice. the 4000+ is a single core CPU.

Thanks for the info. I already knew that 4000+ is a single core. I should have realized that the X2 is the best choice. So thats what I'm going with.
