I was having issues with version 2.3. I got it to work but I could not find a way to save my recordings in order to open them in another app, vlc or potplayer. Niether will recognize the active audio line in nor is there an option to open it. I used 2.1 thinkink there was an issue with with 2.3. I finally found the reason. I needed LAME in order to save my recordings as MP3 or WAW files. The the other apps could play them. If I used SAVE PROJECT only the app could open them. Not convienent. Hope this helps others.
Things like this tend to happen when you do not read the features section. Audacity is one of the best audio solutions available. They also have a forum that has almost all the answers if you are having issues.
