I need an audio utility for managing my MP3 collection. (new mp3 player for Xmas)

I want to basically point it at my entire MP3 collection and resample it to 92kbps regardless of its original bitrate.

    Can someone recommend something?

    Cheers!

I use the MEXP plugin for winamp to organize my mp3s, but I just wanted mention that re-encoding your already compressed mp3s will SEVERLY reduce their quality. Provided you have the original CDs, I'd highly suggest ripping them again. I think dBPowerAMP has a batch encode feature.

Thanks. I actually downloaded soundforges 'lame' enconding utitity.

I wrote a script to search out my mp3 collection and create a batch processing structure to encode my entire collection at 96kbps. It will take a while to complete, but its working quite well.

If anyone wants the utility I wrote, I can email it to them.
