   I bought an LG DVD-5183 which was upposed to play vcds but dosent, but plays mp3s.
   Is there any way of encoding either, avi, divx,mpeg-1 or any others to a format such as vob so i can play them on my dvd player?
   All help will be greatfully appreciated.

   Well if you have a dvd burner then ok but if its a cd burner then vcd/svcd are really your best options! what are you trying to burn vcd with and do you know if your dvd player plays vcd1.1 or vcd2.0??
