Avi-Dvd

    New at this, so forgive the question if its stupid!

    Is it possible to convert .avi files to a dvd format, and burn them to cd and play them on a DVD player? I dont have a DVD player for the PC, but I do have one for my TV.
    If this is possible, how do I do it and what do I need to be able to?

    This is almost perfectly possible, but instead of using DVD-RAM discs, you obviously have to use regular CDs. Results are called normally miniDVDs or something similiar. But instead of creating miniDVDs I recommend you to try if your DVD player can play VideoCDs (most of them can) -- just basically encode your AVI files into VideoCD format with TMPGEnc and burn them to VCD with some CD burning program like Ahead's Nero.
