I have Vista Home prem and I cant play my avi files. I know I need DivX MPEG-4 (DX50) cause my windows media player tells me I need that codex but I can't seem to find a safe site that I could download it from and also a site that doesnt give spyware with it. Will this codex work with vista? Also can someone give me a link to where to download it from?

I downloaded that last night I only downloaded some of the codec that were on it and they worked last night and all now they dont so maybe my family restored the computer or something but I'm not sure.
Hi, If they worked last night I would make sure I re-installed them just in case your family did do a system restore. Also if multiple account users are on that pc be sure you have administrative rights when installing the codec pack or vista will not let you install/ use them as vista is user 'sensitive'.
