AVI File Wont Work - Tried GSpot & Codecs Are Installed... Help??

    Hi guys,
    Im having a bit of trouble trying to play an AVI file my friend,
    who is serving in Iraq sent to me over MSN.
    I tried Gspot & it says no codecs are required & they are installed.
    Here is a pic of what Gspot says:

    I really want to get this file to work as i havent seen him for months.

    You have the proper codecs installed. However, it looks like the file has been trimmed. Download Video Inspector and validate if file is complete.

    yep... file is truncated. bad news. how did you actually get the file? email? if so, email is limited in size you can send, perhaps thats where it got truncated? either way, you dont have the entire file. vlc does a decent job with incomplete video files.
