I hope someone will correct me if I'm wrong in this info but here it goes... You cannot make a traditional DVD using a CD burner, However... You can make whats called a VCD or SVCD that will play on most DVD's, PS2's, or XBOX's. There are plenty of guides on this site and others like www.doom9.org or www.vcdhelp.com, just look in the articles sections of the sites. I personally like this site but others like the others.

hey man a better way to take care of your problem is to go to grokster or kazaa and download nero and it encodes and burns avi files all at once it is the best way to go .the fastest and easiest just one program not two or three.

Nero is actually a bad encoder compared to TMPGEnc or CCE SP. angelhugz, use TMPGEnc to create a vcd and nero to burn the already encoded file or if you in future you get into svcd then use CCE SP.
