i downloaded borat of torrentz.com and i can not burn it onto a disk with nero visons. its a avi file but everytime i try to import the video clip it says i can't. please help thanks.
Hi sukigurl What's the exact error Nero gives you when tryin to import? Which version of Nero are you using - like 6.6.0.18 or 7.7.5.1? Oh and may want to edit out the name of the movie - more info than we need - file format is enuf
i'm using nero visioins express 3. Unable to insert C:\Program Files\BitComet\Downloads\Borat_The_Movie_2006_DVDrip.avi. thats what it says when i'm trying to import the file.
Ok is this the only avi that has given you this problem? Check for your version of Nero in the product center. In SmartStart in the bottom right corner click on the icon with a flame in it. Under programs what version is listed next to Nero Digital or Nero Ultra (or Premium) Edition? Have you tried playing the avi - any problems?
this has happend twice once on fast and the furious and once on borat. but i've burned other downloaded movies before. the vidoes are good though cuz ive watched them on the computer. i tryed to find the version but when ever i click on the icon it says run time error and then closes.
That's not good. A clean reinstall of Nero may help that and the adding a file. Uninstall Nero - run the clean tool. Reboot. Run a good registry cleaner too like ccleaner. Use the cleaner and issues options. Now reinstall Nero. Give that a go and let us know.
@binkie7, Karen is there any KNOWN problems with 7.7.5.1, I've seen a couple of logs already....no doubt you are going to recommend ConvertX in lieu of Nero, Cheers
Hey Gwen No problems w/ the latest that I know of - I installed it last week. I think these last update have been more for fixes w/ Vista and BluRay and/or HD. Yep I would recommend ConvertX too!
so i got convertx and it burned the dvd but when i put it in my player it didn't work. also when i play them on the computer i can only play it on divx and no other programs.
Could be a few things. One might be this is a PAL avi & your in a NTSC area (or vice versa). In TV format in ConvertX have it set to the format your in. Here's a guide for ConvertX - link How about the media your using? Burn speed?
it burned on the disk and this time i could watch it on the computer but i can't watch it on the dvd player. i followed all the instructions on the guide thing. when i put it in the dvd it just made alot of sound and didn't do anything. i used dvd+r would there be a difference if i use -r?
Most newer DVD players play both formats - & + R. You can check here to make sure your player supports both: video help dvd players. Just put on the make and model. What brand and rated speed of media are you using? Like Sony 16x. What speed need you burn it at?
