My original message, http://forums.afterdawn.com/thread_view.cfm/524439 went un-answered. What is a good program to use to cut up a AVI into clips, smaller AVI clips. I converted a DVD to AVI for a short movie to be posted online, so quality had to be taken down some. is AVI what the format should be in or another format, confused - look at original post. The question is what software to take this DVD-AVI - AVI clips
Load the AVI into VirtualDub. Select the area of interest by sliding the bar and use the cutting tools to mark the area to be clipped.. Click 'Video' > 'Direct Stream Copy' Click 'File' > 'Save as AVI..' To clear the selection, click 'Edit' > 'Clear Selection' Repeat for next clip.
