    hi all

I want to take an AVI and get it to vobs for dvd burning! now what would you say is the easiest way for this and the program to do the job!

also will the size of the mpeg matter at all as i could put those in dvd author, come to that what is the best route to take? would it be

    AVI to MPEG1-2? then vobs???

    or is there another way?

    Thank you in advance!

Vob files are the "main" directory of the dvd Rotary. Once you've ripped(SmartRipper or DVD Decrypter) a dvd you then you have the option to convert the vob files to DivX (AVI), MPEG1 or MPEG2. If you have a seperate AVI file maybe that you downloaded you can convert the avi to mpeg1(VCD 1.1 or 2.0) or mpeg2(SVCD) using DVD2SVCD using Cinema Craft Encoder, TMPGEnc or Canopus ProCoder. I hope I answered your question.....
