    Hi.

Its been about 7 months since ive posted and I'm amazed at all the advances made in DVD software, most notably the compression technology used by DVD2one.

    Anway,

I have an AVI file that is too big to put onto 1 VCD so Id like to stick it onto a DVD-R with quality similar to SVCD. Anyone know how I do this, please dont suggest the doom9 guide :) as it requires the download and usage of about 6 programs and is quite long and somniferous.

    Thanks

Download a program from http://www.chrismccann.co.uk/dvd_r_tools.htm half way down the page called TMPGEnc and also TMPGEnc DVD Author. Use the first program to convert the mpeg4 movie into mpeg2 format. This can take 10 hours. Use the second program to convert the mpeg2 video into DVD Compliant mpeg2 with VOB's and IFO, etc...
