Azureus Speed

    ok sao im new to this torrent thing and ive been researching how to make my azureus engine download faster, i forwarded my port, im on a static ip, im on port 6881, the only one that worked on the test and i can only get up to about 50kbs, how can i increase my dowload speed

    You should use a port between 49152 and 65534 per these instructions:

    Also turn on your RC4 encryption. (Tools/Options.../Connection/Transport Encryption/Require Encrypted Transport) And turn off UPnP if you have it on. Install the "Auto Speed" plugin. (Plugins/Installation Wizard...)

    Try the "Good Settings" page at the Azureus wiki:

    There is a link to a speed test there. The settings are based on your upload speed. Azureus max should be 80% of your machines max upload and other settings adjusted accordingly.

    Although not mentioned on the good settings page (they talk about IRC and AzBot) there is a calculator which will give all the settings once you have your upload speed number.
