"Back-up" protections on ps2 Games.

    Hi

    New in the ps2 world...but i couldnt find this question atleast 10-15 pages back.

    In the time of ps1 games u had to back-up them (mostly cdrwin) and patch them with a ppf file. (like EA games...and Mission Impossible...Resident Evil 3) or the game would not play.

    Is that still with ps2 backups ?
    Cause i see most people advise to make gdi files with RecordNowMax...and no mention of cdrwin and patching the games anymore.

    Is there a list of PS2 games which need to be patched ? (and i not mean ntsc/pal patches but patches to make it work)

    There are no patches needed to make games work now. All the new no swap chip dont require any patches.

    Aint new modchip technology the best ;)
