back up via linux problem

    i have a 60gb ps3 and installed linux via a guide and allotted 10gb to other os .i tried to back up my first blue ray movie to the hard drive which started perfectly until it got to 1.6gb then told me there was no space left on the device i tried again with a differant movie but same again.can anyone help thanks phil

    bluray movies can be upto 25GB, what you be happening is it backing up in chapters, and the 1st intro chapter is 1.6GB and then its trying the movie, which will be more than the space you have left. 10GB minus 1-2GB Linux minus the 1.6GB at chapter, that only leaves you 6GB.
    I'd allocate 40GB for linux if you wish to backup movies.

    also search some of the posts about backing up movies and they will give you aprox figures on how much space you need.

    how do i allow 40gb then would i have reformat and install again

    I think your have to uninstall and start again, either that use an external HDD to backup to.
