What is the best way to backup all the drivers needed on a system prior to a clean install?
You don't back them up, just reinstalled them from the original discs after reloading your operating system.
goto the device manufacturer to get the updated drivers as that is what i do all the time
I'm going to have to go to the manufactorers web site as when I bought my Vaio I didnt recieve a disk... This has happend to several of my friends... I was thinking there was a way to back-up already installed drivers for all hardware... I guess not... Thanks Guys.
you didn't get a restore cd when you bought the vaio??
Nope! They didnt give me one. When I inquired they said I had to buy a 25 dollar recovery dvd...punks
wasn't vaio brand new or used
Brand new vaio. The thing is they give you the ability to make your own nine cdr recovery disc. which I did. Its alright because after you make it you can reclaim 5 gigs of hdd space. I wish they just would have sent me a darn disc with the laptop instead of having me make my own...
