When backing up COLONIAL HOUSE as well as an older DVD I have, I noticed that a weird problem occurred. The picture acquired what I would term Ghosts as well as the flow of the picture was not smooth. I don't know if the term Ghosts is the proper one but due to the choppy nature of the background that is what I would call it. After checking my harddrive I determined that it was not the DVDs because the problem occurred also with the movie on my harddrive. For future reference how can I fix this problem. I used DVDSHRINK to create the backup copy on my harddrive.

Try cleaning your source disc. Then try DVD Decrypter to rip, see if you get any read errors.
