backing up games

    when making copies of your games can u use other software besides stuff lik WinRaR and XISO and cpumenux? if so what can u use? thanks

    You can't just "pop it in your comp." You have to first have a modded xbox or a flashed bios to install a DASHBOARD on your Xbox, and then you have to FTP into your xbox in order to see the game files that you have in the xbox drive. Then drag the files over.

    i know this but where can i get the software lik xISO to make it into an iso format. any other programs which do the same thing would also help. thanks

    Any of them will do. However, be mindful that the only program that can make "true" isos perfectly is GDFIMAGE, which is what Microsoft uses to make isos of their games.

    Before you ask, I can't give it to you because it's under copyright laws.

    what u mean by 'true iso' do they all do the same thing?

    ok all this talk about FTPing i just have one question why is it that u cant just simply put it in ur pc drive and drag the files if your reading the files from the xbox drive would it not be the same as reading the files from the pc drive can someone clear this up with perhaps an explination thanks

    Not all ISO files are XBOX Iso files. ISO files are also extended to the bin/cue extensions as well. When I say "true" xbox iso, I mean one that was designed for Xbox only.

    thanks for that. also with ftp if you have the software on my pc can i just hook my pc and xbox up with a cross over cable?
