To backup your DVD, you'll need to circumvate the copy protection that the disc has on it. Once you have done that, you'll be a very happy burner.

AD members Alkohol, Bbmayo, Fasfrank and scubapete have a website with all the software and guides you need to make it all almost painless. Take note of the all freeware combo that's available....it is very good. Happy burning.

No need to wander off to other sites except to pick up some software. Check this link for an "all in one" installer for all the free software you'll need to do backups. Need any help, just ask here. That's why we hang around. LOL

    RipIt4Me AIO
    http://www.snapdrive.net/files/60656/download/AIO_v3.0.zip

    imgburn
    http://imgburn.com/index.php?act=download

That's the complete package for everything you need for RipIt4Me. Plus the Shrink version supports ImgBurn instead of DVD Decrypter. The decryption software in Shrink is obsolete and often needs other programs to handle that function. That's probably why the error occurred.
