bad picture

    I recently installed power dvd, which came with my computer, onto my computer because i uninstalled it before. I tried to play a dvd and i can hear it but the video is not clear and you cant see the movie clearly the colors are all mixed up. When I play the dvd on other media players it plays perfect but I want it to play good on power dvd and it doesnt.

    I have uninstalled and reinstalled it and restarted the computer. No difference happend. I also tried different dvds.

    Its obviously a problem with that piece of software. Change to Win DVD or something.

    Thats what I was going to do but power dvd used to work.

    Is it PowerDVD XP ?

    I'd uninstall [yet again I know] then run a de-frag.
    Start afresh..run PowerDVD DVD-Rom

    Check for conflicts with differing pieces of software on your computer.

    It IS in actual fact 'Cyberlink PowerDVD XP 4.0'

    I have the disk in front of me now...shall I scan it for you ??
